INTERIM HOME CARE UTAH
A Closer Look at Home Care Support for Veterans

We've written extensively about the programs themselves. This is about the people and organizations built specifically to help you navigate them — often the fastest way through a confusing system.
Accredited Veterans Service Officers (VSOs)
VSOs help veterans and families navigate VA claims and benefits, typically at no cost, and are often the single most useful resource for figuring out which programs actually apply to your situation. They're available through organizations like the American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and often through county or state veterans affairs offices directly.
VA Caregiver Support Coordinators
Every VA medical center has a Caregiver Support Coordinator specifically for family caregivers — someone who can walk through PCAFC, respite options, and other caregiver-specific resources for your situation.
The VA Caregiver Support Line
A direct phone resource (1-855-260-3274) specifically for caregiver-related questions, staffed to help identify which support programs might fit.
County and State Veterans Affairs Offices
Many counties and states maintain their own veterans affairs offices, separate from the federal VA, which can help connect veterans to both federal and state-specific benefits and resources.
Why Talking to a Person Beats Reading Every Article
We've written detailed guides to a dozen-plus VA programs, and they're useful once you have a general sense of your situation. But a real conversation with a VSO or Caregiver Support Coordinator can identify the right path faster than working through every article on your own, especially if your situation involves more than one program.
How Interim Fits In
Once you've identified which VA benefits apply — or even while you're still figuring it out — we're happy to talk through what non-medical support could look like alongside them.
Our 7th Week Guarantee
No long contracts. If you don't feel the difference after six weeks of care at 20 or more hours a week, your seventh week is free.
